Grand Old fourth of july Parade
The Grand Old Fourth of July Parade is one of Bainbridge Island's most beloved traditions and the centerpiece of our community celebration. Every year, downtown fills with music, creativity, costumes, classic cars, floats, local organizations, youth groups, performers, small businesses, and neighbors coming together to celebrate Independence Day in classic Bainbridge fashion.
This year, we're especially excited to celebrate USA 250, marking the nation's 250th anniversary with parade entries that highlight community spirit, creativity, history, sustainability, and a little hometown flair.
The parade begins at 1:00 PM on July 4 and winds through the heart of downtown Bainbridge Island.
PARADE ROUTE & VIEWING
The parade begins at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Wallace Way, travels south through downtown, turns east onto Winslow Way, and concludes at the corner of Winslow Way and Ericksen Avenue in front of the Bainbridge Island Chamber of Commerce office.
The official parade grandstand and announcer station will be located at the corner of Winslow Way and Madison Avenue.
This area will feature amplified commentary, music, and live announcements throughout the parade. If you'd like to hear parade entries introduced and enjoy the full parade experience, we recommend finding a viewing spot near the grandstand or along the route immediately north and east of this intersection.
If you prefer a quieter viewing experience, consider watching farther north on Madison Avenue or along the final stretch of the route on Winslow Way approaching Ericksen Avenue.
